ShaRef Bibliography Conversion Mapping Tables

This page show how input and output formats are mapped to the internal ShaRef data model. Mappings are available in the Mapping Table for Reference Types and the Mapping Table for Field Types. Even though it is possible to deduce from this table how various formats are mapped when converting from one format to another, it is kind of hard, because all mappings go through the internal data model.

References which are not listed in this table are mapped onto the generic reference type. This means these references will appear as <reference> elements with a type attribute set to a value indicating the source of the reference. The source is indicated by the originating format name, followed by a colon, followed by the reference type, for example type="endnote7:4" for a EndNote 7 "Personal Communication" reference.
