Abstract:

This technical note addresses some of the issues related to inheritance of the XML attributes xml:base and xml:id and the W3C Recommendation for Canonical XML Version 1.0 (Errata). Shortcomings of C14N/1.0 are noted out and the use of a new C14N/1.1 recommendation with the XML Digital Signature 1.0 Recommendation is discussed.
