Abstract

After two weeks of technical work, today the first results will be presented. The focus is to show first results, reports on design decisions which have been made or still need to be done, and to point out dependencies with other project parts. In addition, blog links (blinks) as an interesting use case for AJAXLink and XLink scenarios in general are discussed in today's class.

AJAXLink Use Case

• Blogs have a number of recurring features
  • they are a sequentially ordered series of blog posts
  • a blog has an owner and a permanent URI
  • posts have a date and content
  • posts very often have a number of URIs as part of their content
• Blog posts can be regarded as XLinks (blog links or blinks)
  • the complete blog (the collection of all posts) is the blog linkbase
  • each post is an XLink with a predefined structure
  • post date, post URIs, post content (HTML snippet)
  • advanced blinks could classify URIs (support, criticism, similarity, blog, …)
• Blinks can be displayed as XLinks (maybe styled by a linklet)
