AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)

AJAX refers to the principle of using scripting to interact with an HTTP Server at some time other than the usual page navigation (initiated by clicking a link). Combined with DHTML techniques, AJAX can update parts of an HTML document without having to reload the complete document. AJAX can provide a better user experience, because the traditional scheme of WWW navigation can be extended to provide users with a more direct feedback. AJAX allows classical desktop application interactions such as drag&drop and auto-completion.
